A Rudimentary Education: Wandsworth Art Graduates 2020

‘A Rudimentary Education’ is an exhibition that hosts the work of 21 Visual Arts Graduates living in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Showcasing 2020 graduates working across the mediums of fine art, sculpture, video, installation, photography and performance, this exhibition highlights the strength and diversity of contemporary artists in the United Kingdom.

Each graduate was invited to exhibit a piece/s of work that they have completed during their studies, exploring key themes, ideas and discussions central to today’s art world. In this unprecedented time when degree shows have been cancelled, studios shut, and formal graduations postponed indefinitely, it is more important than ever to support creative graduates and give a voice to London’s emerging artists. This exhibition highlights the level of creative talent in just one London Borough, giving us a glimpse into the future voices of the art world.

The exhibition is curated by Izabel Wocial a Fine Art graduate from Leeds College of Art, Cassandra Bowes, founder of Bowes-Parris Gallery and Anna Woodward, a Fine Art Graduate from City and Guilds of London Art School.
